It would certainly make sense if this was the case. With focus peaking, the camera has to process the sensor data in real-time to detect the high-contrast edges, and at a fast frame rate with low enough latency to keep the system workable for manual focusing. It's a simple concept, but actually quite a lot of processing for a small device to be doing continuously! Shocked

If you carefully search a good deal for a nex body , you can find it for cheap (around 200 E a nex 3 ) new .You sell a lens and get this body . Then , you will jugde and choose for yourself.
I sold my Sigma 30/1.4 and got the nex3 . Since then , my EOS XTI is gathering dust.
