Hi Graham
I bet more than a few folks around here would be happy to click a few PP bucks into a doggy food fund.
My two pups fully endorse the idea. They even offer up a couple chew bones.
How about a thread. Post a pup pic and a donation.
On that Yashi LM.
If that's the one from our trade. Folks here should know it has a round aperture system.
That is a sweet user camera. _________________ Moderator |

Yes, it is the very same LM It is a very sweet camera to use, I have enjoyed it immensely. If it goes to someone here who will use it, I will not be unhappy.
As for your other suggestion, I will not hear of it. In these difficult times people should not be giving money away without something in return (cameras are ideal!) It is a situation of my own making. Usually when I foster a dog they also supply it's feed and veterinary care, but I won't allow them to at the moment due to the sheer number of dogs they are having to deal with. If I can lessen the load on them, then they can help more dogs.
One day this recession will lift, and everyone will once again be able to spend their money on what they like, and I can replace any cameras I sell now. And let's face it, there is a huge thrill in buying a camera you always wanted, so I am just saving up my thrills for the future |

Donation post is a good idea, we have thousands visitors / day. I believe most of them love dogs. _________________ -------------------------------

I think that to make donations to MF Lenses is the best idea to ensure it stays alive for people to enjoy. Then because it is still here I can sell my cameras to fund the dogs for now until things get better.
Please, I am embarrassed of the very kind offers, you are truly wonderful and kind hearted people. But there are many dog rescue web sites that I can use to ask for help if it comes to that situation. I am already sending emails to my boss to make him feel guilty about sponsoring a cricket team of wealthy middle-aged men who don't need his money. In exchange for this I will make a press release about his Company's kindness in the trade magazines. There are many ways to raise needed funds, and you guys only have to buy one of my cameras if you want to |

There is an English saying: "Don't teach your Grand Mother to suck eggs" which means don't tell people things they already know |

Well those are great cameras, good luck with your sells. And as for giving donations, some ebay sellers do propose to add an extra 1£ for a charity cancer or stuff thing, i've done it sometimes, i hope the money is for those purposes. So as for your dog cases, donations can be done ( i can also post roll films or bones ) mostly everyone love dogz. _________________ Happy owner and user of :

Does anyone want this little beauty? So far many of the things I have put on Fleabay have non-paying bidders so I have to move stuff fast now.
Offers welcome!
Pretty much mint condition and fully functional (even the meter!) Lens is clean and crisp, a little beauty of a camera and a joy to use. |

The Kiev will be looking at stunning Scotland in the next day or two
There is something very satisfying when a camera is sold to a fellow member here. It's nice to know it will be treated with respect of someone that can appreciate older manual equipment. Better than going to some total stranger on Ebay, if they bother paying that is
Enjoy the camera, Stephen, and don't forget to post some results |

This evening I will sort out the Praktica B mount lenses. Is there any interest in these among our members? I think I have 50mm 1.8 and 2.4 and pretty sure I have a 28/2.8 too. |
