Many thanks for the idea. The padded felt is truly a good idea!

You are welcome. Please thank Jieffe, too. Wink

The felt idea came from Jieffe, while I was looking for cork materials.
Cork turned out to be either in too-thin or too-thick offerings, and only
available as large sheets, while the felt strips turned out to be the ideal
solution at a very low cost. The felt is dense enough to securely hold
the lens within the collar, and it's been secure since I set it up.

Just curious, where did you look for the cork material?

Automotive parts stores carry uncut cork sheets in a whole range of thicknesses, and for very reasonable prices (~$5 US per sheet). People use them to make all sorts of custom gaskets, just trace around your old one and cut it out. Wink

And I didn't even check. Embarassed

That's a great suggestion, and one I should have thought of, especially
because I have cut my own gaskets in the past.
