I just notised on the eBay that there are two of these pretty babies for sale - quite cheap too! I might make them an offer they can not refuse!

Hmph. According to the catalog Spotmaic linked, the lens looks most like the Zoomatar 180/1.3.

The image circle for that lens won't even cover full frame. How the hell can they sell it as a 250mm lens for 6x6? (The mount is obviously hacked on).


Something smells really fishy there.

We should start a club, where we pool our money and buy all of these super-exotic lenses and rotate them around between club members once per month. Very Happy

Not really. The leaflet in question is not exhaustive.
To me it looks like a further development (??) of the Zoomatar 240/1.2, see here:

being a 35mm (sort of) shooter, that's good news to me.

Well, if there is a 240/1,2 that can cover 6x7, then I guess there's no problem with a 180/1,3 covering 6x6 Very Happy


And yes, I would LOVE to try that on my 503CW for a day. I'll chip in $50 Laughing
