new, used or well abused doesnt matter - as long as it still works, its good

a-mount --> b-mount
works for infinity if register(a) - register(b) >= 1-2mm

in your case:
Pentax-K --> Nikon-F
45.5mm - 46.5mm = -1mm

so only macro would be possible....

(why do we have a sticky for that if no-one reads it...??)

Some Nikon users are familiar with the Nikon F register distance and those of other mounts.

Because adapters with corrective optics are available?

Because some lenses have adjustable stops for infinity focus?

Because some users actually want to use the lenses for macro?

a) yes, adapters with a "barlow lens" are availble but the quility is not good and the focal length will be times 1.2

b) most likely not (at least I never found a lens I could adjust that much and I doubt that the OP that that in mind...)

c) that surely is a point, but I had mentioned that it works for that.
