Hello,

The only thing I am missing in my MF collection is a good macro lens.
Focal lenght is not so important. But it has to be M42 or FD. Since I do not have any experience with macro photography, I would like a budget friendly lens SmileSmile

Thanks,

Jurgen

Before you buy a macro lens, have you tried using extension tubes or a reversing ring with one of your lenses? Or even a set of bellows. At least it would give you a taste of macro work and help you find out if you want to lash out cash on a special lens.

Extension tubes and/or reversing rings would also save space & weight in your bag. Cool

I don't have one for sale, but the Pentax 50mm f/4 and Canon FL or FD 50mm f/3.5 macro lenses are both good, inexpensive macro lenses.

extension tubes and macro rings work well as do enlarger lenses on bellows.

Peter gas some good advice...Try out the lesser expensive options first....Macro isn't for everyone & before you plunk down some hard earned $$$ make sure it's something you want to pursue...Most "true" macro lenses are not "cheap"...Some can be had for less, but macro lenses are in high demand & preferred focal lengths can quickly get up there in price...
