Hp 4570c Scanner

I just bought one at a charity shop for USD $5. It has the insert for negatives, and it also has the seperate add on scanner that scans slides.
I'm sure I can download the software so that's not a problem, but it's missing the powersupply and cord. It would be $16 from a US seller.

Anyone have or used this scanner.I'm trying to decide if it's worth a try.
The only scanner I have now is the Epson Perfection 1250. Sad

It looks like it only got so-so reviews on Amazon:

Thank You. I think I'll wait untill I can afford a decent scanner.By what I read on that link, I don't think I'd be happy with it. If it even works.

erm that would be $21 total, instead you could look for an Epson 2480 photo for about $15...it's quite good but only does 35mm negs/pos
