My wife & I just came back from a church sponsored flea market...While there, I found an older Zeiss Ikon folding camera (with a Tessar lens). The guy wanted $30-40 for it, but my wife shot me down...I should have gone there alone & gotten it on the sly. It was in pretty good shape. I had to show the older gent how to operate it as it was....Now he is going to sell it on either eBay or Craigslist & I'm sure it will fetch a good bit more. He also had an older Agfa folder as well, but my interest was in the Zeiss...Dang it!

You gotta hide a couple-three $20s in your billfold ...

Next time, buy a pair of trivets, oven mitts, or the ideal size kitchen towels - ideal size that is to fold a folder inside.

Ouch.

Simple solution: Any time you can't quite justify something, just point out how undervalued it is and call it an "investment". Very Happy

And then, after you have amassed a whole closet full of stuff, when you start getting asked why you never sell anything, start calling them "long term" investments. Very Happy Very Happy

I use that "investment" line too. It works sometimes.

Do what I do Scott. Remind her how you gave up hunting, fishing, golf and beer so this hobby doesn't really cost that much. Nah!! I still drink Beer!
