well, I love them!

this pictutres were taken with a 1,9/35 komine Vivitar and i just love how technical imperfections add a style to this pictures.

the reddish flare immediately transports some kind of 70's nostalgia to me (and others)

can somebody of you recommend me other fast primes which show a simillar behaviour?

I tried the 2/24 komine, the flares were great, but the lens was useless for other purposes.

That's great flare you get there... yes, I get a feeling of nostalgia from some lenses. One I've noticed was the Nikkor 35/2 - I felt like an old 70s magazine... the overall tone, including all the various forms of flare, and this probably because I haven't had Nikons for all this time.

That lens has nothing on yours when it comes to painting with flare though. I really like the results you get

I rather enjoyed this colourful flare from my Kalimar MC 28-85mm f3.5. I usually shoot with a deep hood, but with this lens, I'm tempted to start shooting into the sun without a hood just for the effect. Very Happy

Dang! I have tossed out slides in the past because of flare. Who'd a thought that someday it would be popular? Smile I do find it intriguing some of the designs that flare makes, though. Like that bit down in the bottom left corner of Nesster's second photo.

for shooting against the sun the original -symmetrical. design nikon 21\4 gave excellent star-rays and not too much contrast reduction.
