Normal routine. Load my film in my Minolta X370, pull the advance lever
and nothing. Shocked No movement at all! Shocked

Then reality struck. I don't have a M42 wide angle lens. No big deal I will use my Soligor 28mm T mount lens to get the shot. But I haven't ordered
any M42 T mount adapters yet. Embarassed

So I got my Konica C35 rangefinder out with the 38mm lens and got my shots. Very Happy

I managed to get the lever on the Minolta working, so that's good news at least. Very Happy

I learned 4 very important things.

1) Most of my lenses are MD, so buy a backup body soon!
2) Order M42 T mount adapters.
3) Buy more M42 lenses.
4) Buy more T mount lenses.

7) Never leave the house with less than 3 cameras.

Alternative for T2-mount is Tamron adaptall-2 system or lenses with YS- or T4-adapter. But ofcourse it is a small investment to have a MC/MD body as a back up available. May be you can get one cheap with a nice extra lens on it! Even a SRT101 can do the job in case of need.
And for the case you had a Canonet with 40mm too, not only the Konica with 38mm?!

Or both, Tamron + YS-adapter-lenses. ehem, have both adapters, if you want them, send a mail.....

Scheimpflug, Yes your right, all of the above.

Excalibur, M42 to Md adapter I do need to order. For my backup I was thinking of upgrading to an X700.

IANUS, I think your right. Laughing

Minolfan, Your right. I need to look at the other options besides T-2.
I like the light weight of the X series, but a SRT would make a good backup.

exaklaus, I sent you a PM.

Minolfan, Not a painful remark. I just can't believe I haven't ordered that battery yet.

Thanks for all the help everyone. Very Happy

It really suprised me when my Minolta didn't work. I mean that's old faithful. It never fails. Oh well I guess any camera can have a hiccup every once in a while.
