Orio, thanks from my side!

Patrick, really like #2, what kind of a bug is that, anyway?

Ladybug, huh? Compared to the little round red ones with black spots we
have here, yours looks like it's been working out at the gym. Does it fly?
Ours do (after a fashion, little short commuter flights).

Thanks for your comment, Patrick.

Bidens ferulifolia macro shot. Used "bee vision" filter XBV2 and fiber optic flash light to bring out the UV petal tip pattern.

and using a different angle in visible light for comparison:

Russian Rose shot in ultraviolet light (needs a black background to show its full velvety beauty...)

Wow, Klaus, a stunning trio! Shocked Especially like two for the color and
detail, and three for being the most unusual rose shot, love the texture!

Thanks, yes, UV brings out about 1.6x more detail than normal light, this is how I explain the "velvet structure" of that rose [for the science geeks: (green=) 550nm / (UV=) 350nm = 1.56].

kds315*: I like photos of roses more than roses themselves. Very nice image Smile

xjjohnno: Great collection of gymnocalyciums! I had a few of them too in past, but some pests extinguished them Sad

SD-14 (w/o filter) + Ultra Achromatic Takumar 85mm + special filter
(UV+VIS+IR) to create a multispectral image (UV=blue, VIS=green, IR=red)
[some butterflies and birds can see that this way, they are tetrachromats, i.e. they have four different receptors in their eyes]

for comparison, this is the normal, visible light shot:

Nesster, I like this last one of yours very much. Love the DOF, the carefree attitude about focus, and the overall Impressionistic flavor this
shot exudes and in BW, no less.
