It would be helpful to see the leaves. So the following are best guesses...
1. Lantana or Verbena
2. Agapanthus
4. Sempervivum
6. Heliopsis helianthoides

and a really wild guess

5. Penstemon

Some nice pictures in here.

Forgot to set the white balance and missed the focus on the bee but I kind of like it more like this anyway. And it fits more the theme of this thread. eh

I like the bees ones, anyway great shots here. Another one to this thread, nothing amazing, just for the mix of colors.

So, I got my Pentax K-7 a couple days ago. A few flower pics shot with the Tamron SP 90mm f2.5 macro I got from no-x, and the Voigtländer Apo-Lanthar 180mm f4 that I got (and sent out to a couple of members here.... finally get to use it myself!!!) Smile

The above two with the Tammy

These two with the Apo-Lanthar

And the last is the blasphemous shot; Pentax DA* 60-250mm F4 Laughing

Thanx all Very Happy i had full sun for this one, it could be better @f8 but hey.

As for the last pictures, i like the bee ( n°4 ) . its a great addition to a flower pic. makes me wonder that maybe a macro lens would be worth trying

Shocked ooh, aah! the k-7 looks good!
and the tinly little flower: so wonderfully delicate!

Hexi,
The "blasphemous shot", which is superb, was not taken with a macro lens.
Sometimes you can take great close shots with 200mm or even longer.

Rawhead, these are great shots.

Yes, the K-7 is great! Smile I really love these colors coming straight out of the Pentax/Samsung sensors...

Thanks!! Yes, I believe some people call these shots "tele-macro". And this lens is really, really good (it better be, it's the most I've paid for a lens, ever...$1200 ShockedLaughing)
