No I plan to use them on my Panasonic G5. Quick test just looking through them looked promising. The 55 macro has
some oil on the diafragm blades. But I cant see that it should be a problem for me. I plan to use it to digitalise my fathers Dia-positives so that all my sisters and brothers can get all of them.
I've been surfing the net to learn more about these lenses but its mostly bewildering. Some says they are great and others so so.
I guess it's often fanboys shouting this way or that way with little credibility. I'm shure a 55mm macro of any brand will serve my needs more than well.

My experience with Yashica lenses is limited. I own a total of one: an M42 Yashinon-DX 50mm f/1.7 and it is one of the sharpest 50mm lenses I own. Definitely sharper than my Helios 44M. But I have heard numerous good things about the Yashica ML lenses. There are quite a few Contax camera owners who can't always justify the high price of zeiss lenses, and who buy the Yashical ML lenses instead. Hopefully someone here will chime in. Or you can start a thread over in the manual lenses subforum, and I'm sure you'll get some responses. _________________ Michael

I'm using a 28mm ML on a mft camera with a cy speedbooster. Satisfyingly sharp wide open. Its quickly become my std goto lens. I hope you have a good copy. _________________ Currently shooting with Fuji X-E2s + Metabones Speedbooster + m42 and CY glass 💕

One day I hope to afford a fuji x-?? and a speedbooster. Of som reason not known to me I haven't consider it for my G5.
A first glance through the EVF magnified looks promising. Still I'm not shure this is my standard to go lens. Normally I use a 50mm 1.4 something for that. Old habit I suppose. I ordered a couple of adapters so when they arrive I'll give them a better try out.

It was:
Revueflex 1000 S
Auto Flex 50/2.8
Revuenon-Special 135/2.8
Revuenon-Special 35/2.8
All with caps, very good condition in vintage leather bag. He wanted about $30 for it, but I had like $5. My friends went through their pockets and got me another $5...
All in all - I got that set for $10!

I had the Revuenon-Special 35/2.8 and it was really awful. Never get really sharp at any aperture at medium to infinity distantes.
Only with extension tubes it was a decent performer for close ups.
I hope yours is better.

I didn't know Samyang made an AF 14/2.8? What, was this guy badly mistaken, or have I missed something?
Anyway, good move!
Great catch, Phil! Wish a freebie like that would come my way every once in a while. _________________ Michael

I'm almost sure that it was listed as having broken AF Looking however on DOF of such lens one can assume that AF is there and working perfectly |

First it was a great disappointment : stucked focusing and impossible to focus to infinity.
After relubrification and having removed an internal srew which stopped the focusing, it is like new.

No, the digital flash is P-TTL, iirc. Also, iirc, the earlier Pentax dSLRs did have compatibility with earlier flashes but not from the K100 onwards. P-TTL only since then.
No matter, if the flashes have any form of manual setting or thyristor control, you're good to go.
I have a cracking little film-era Metz setup, with motorised flash zoom, auto-everything near enough, and it acquits itself well on the Kdigis, only thing missing from total integration is the proper auto exposure, but it's bloody good, being so versatile as to be almost indistinguishable from full point and shoot as to make no difference. _________________ Dave - Moderator
