Test negative? what do you use this for?

I've stumbled upon this today - looks like a test chart but printed on negative.

I guess it's something either for scanner calibration or for test of paper/lenses on enlarger.

Can someone share if he knows.

I think so too. 'Handmade' (diy, homemade) greyscale negs of test charts. Also for testing slide copier for camera. Wink

I think it's just for printing your own test charts. It's probably cheaper to buy negatives that actual printed charts. That way you would either print your own test chart in any size OR shine the enlarger pic onto a blank wall and use that as your test chart. That would save on having to so any chart printing and storage.

Printing your test charts sounds interesting.
I have some sheets left from Agfa MCC 118 24x30cm baryta paper.
