On sale is a Panasonic DMC-L1 (body only) digital SLR in excellent condition.
It takes all 4/3 lenses and virtually every manual lens I know of with the appropriate adapter.
It is also updated to the latest firmware
The following accessories are included:
1) Original battery
2) Original charger
3) Generic 4/3 cap
4) Lowepro neckstrap Speedster
5) 4/3 -> M42 adapter
6) SD 4GB memory card

I'm looking for €350 including PayPal fees and shipping within the EU but I guess that is negotiable since I cannot find any other used L1's to compare prices.
The reason I'm selling is that I need a lighter body to carry around, something like the Olympus E-620 (I already have an E-3 as my main camera).
Please let me know if you want more info.

SOMEONE SHOULD BUY THJIS!!!
I have one, it's one of the finest cameras for use with manual lenses.. takes nearly every type (bar Canon FD) and gives focus confirm straight out the box, NO 'CHIPPED' ADAPTERS NEEDED..
The handling is great (ok the viewfinder's a bit pokey) but hey... all the rest is superb, including the colour from the sensor (Leica tuned...) the metering is excellent, and the live view is one of the best I have used, with all sorts of useful overlays like 3rds, horizon level etc.. What's not to like?
The funky straight ahead or 'bounce' flash is fun, and useful, the ability to set shutter speed on a dial (like a 'real' camera) is invaluable, and.. the list goes on...
Even now after 2 years I keep finding useful touches, it seems to have Panasonic reliability in electronics and Leica like design where it counts...
Get one and never look back (and no I just love mine I am not selling this one or on comission.. lol)

I've tried to do some market research on this camera with a view to buying. However, I can't find one other for sale in the UK !! What happened to this model? Does it have a different model name in the UK. I do know it came with a Leica lens, but this deal is body only. What do I need to use Canon lenses on this body. Will I be able to use M42 lenses in manual mode.
Thanks |

I don't think it had another name in the UK, it's just a bit rare camera because it was very expensive and now Panasonic dropped 4/3 cameras and focuses on m4/3.
The camera works fine with M42 lenses. Actually, I am giving a 4/3 to M42 adapter with it. |

I never bothered with the (superb) leica designed lens as I find the 14-42mm Olympus lens fine for autofocus work, but I prefer the 3/3 to micto 4/3 as with the use of long lenses the micro 4/3 bodies are badly balanced, and the lens steers me not the other way round! lol
The mirror box and internal optics are from the Olympus e-330 but the camera unlike the Olympus does NOT require chipped adapters, and has a superior image processing software installed. It's also beautiful in build quality and ergonomics.

If there is no serious interest by the end of the week, the camera will be available in eBay.co.uk. |
