That's a good start.

I'll take about that many with me on my long tenting trip.

But some will be smaller.

I am curious, but why would one sunbathe all their glass? I heard it was good for the yellowing of some lenses, but surely not all of these...

I think some UV plus 'airing out' is good to keep fungus in check

cheve, light is good but heat is a big problem. The grease in old lenses becomes liquid when it gets warm and this is why many lenses have stuck aperture blades. There are some fantastic lenses in your collection and I'd hate to hear any of them have been damaged.

Thank you, I will keep that(ie. about the heat) in mind. The lenses were under the sun for a short time only(actually less than 15min. of intensive full on baking). The lens bodies were warm to the touch when I started putting them away; but I discovered that the end cap for one of my lens was left with a melted spot.

You need to check out the profiles that some of the folks have.....mine "collection"(if you can call it) is small -- ie. My addiction is progressing slowly, recovery is possible.

Yes, that's another thing to be careful of!

I once read of a person who had accidentally set a couch on fire by leaving an un-capped CRT projection lens laying facing a window. Shocked
