You say in the listing that it fits M42 without a T2 adapter...That means it's likely messed up the threads as T2 is 42mm X .75 pitch & M42 is 42mm X 1 pitch & as such are not compatible due to the pitch being different

yeah, you are right, it's just screwed in less than half way, however it's still very firm. i know it's not a proper way but it's usable. it's just a personal test and nothing damage or anything, i am very careful.

If it's "very firm", the threads are already binding.. Neutral Does the T2 adapter still thread back on OK?

I know it's not proper way so I do not force it if I found resistant when screw in, it's not binding, and T2 adapter can thread back on perfectly as normal. I think my personal experiment and share are just misleading. I should have not said that :S
It works as normal and you can totoally ignore my M42 experiment.
