I heard that Rolleiflex SL2000F camera is notorious of being a difficult and troublesome camera (although a few praised this camera as the best interchangeable 35mm camera in a boxy, Hassy format).

I want to talk about the lens and lens mount of this camera. Anyone knows what is the lens mount and lens register for this camera? Does a lens adapter exist for using the lenses in a Nikon DSLR cameras?

The Rolleiflex SL2000F that I am talking about comes with
Rolleinar 28mm f/2.8
Planar 50mm f/1.8, and
Rolleinar 135mm f/2.8

Who made Rolleinar lenses? Are they made by Carl Zeiss, Leica or their own Rolleiflex camera lenses?

Thanks for the info, as I have very little info in the internet on this topic. Cameraquest has some info about the camera, but it does not help me with adapting this lens for a Nikon DSLR

Based on this thread (http://forum.mflenses.com/rolleinar-mc-2-8-105-qbm-t19869.html) it would appear as though the lenses are well regarded, but the flange focal distance is too long for a Nikon adaption if infinity focus is required.

So, is this a bayonet mount with 44.7mm register distance (similar to Voitglander lenses). I thought it has larger register distance, as the camera looks so much larger than the regular 35mm SLR.

Ouch... just too short for a Nikon DSLR. Even for Canon with register distance of 44.0m, there is not much thickness for the adapter to accommodate a 44.7mm register distance of a Rolleinar lenses.

So, I would assume that this would be good lenses to be used with 4/3 cameras (38.58mm registered distance), or micro 4/3 (20mm register distance)

The photos on the link that you provided were excellent, and they must be good lenses. I am surprised to hear that it was actually made by Mamiya, not a Zeiss glass.

Thanks for the info!

Older versions were produces by Rollei under Zeiss license.
Later Mamiya (and some others) also manufactured some Rollei lenses, AFAIK.

Along Rollei made Zeiss lenses , last lenses (Rolleinar serie) were produced by TOKINA (ie 80/200 -4 ..) & SIGMA (ie 16/2.8 - 600/8...)

1- Rollei SL2000f was the ONLY ever produced hassy format 35mm slr, so it was the best hassy format 35mm slr !
2- It is well known for having TOO many reliability problems
3- The viewfinder was TOO dark
2+3= Not usable camera .. Made rollei bankrupcy inevitable

ps : i worked a small time at rollei france
