Well BBC has finally announced its new trilogy "Richard Hammond's Invisible Worlds"
which will be aired in spring on BBC1 channel "World of Wonders" in the UK and
Discovery Channel in the US.

Here a bit about my contribution to it
http://photographyoftheinvisibleworld.blogspot.com/2010/02/bbc1-announced-richard-hammonds.html

and one of my test stills from that time I worked on that... (yellow flower = as we humans see it;
right blueish part = simulated tetrachromatic butterfly vision; UV = blue)

If you have cable (like KabelBW etc.) there might be a chance, not sure yet.
I decided to take the chance and be in London for that event - good excuse, ehhh??

When I know the exact details, I make it available here!

Oh, how much I would love to be there with you.
I have lived one hour from London for more than nine month (1995-1996) and I love this city!

Since it's on BBC 1, get hold of a Sky Box and watch it directly with a 1metre dish. Alternatively, shortly after broadcast, you could dowload it from www.thebox.bz, or I could record it and drop it to you via a file store site.

Thanks, but you should actually try and watch that series. We have some really amazing shots in there, never ever filmed so far! (and that is just my stuff and what I know, there is much more in there....) If I may be allowed to make some advertisement for that series.... Wink

Amazon UK has the DVD already on pre-order, released date is APril 12th, 2010 (PAL version, most likely only viewable in Europe) here

Will they make the Blu-Ray?

Most likely, since it has all been filmed in full HDTV, but I have no detailed info on a blue-ray yet, just found that DVD by coincidence.

Since its BBC maybe it will also be on the iPlayer.
A lot of forum followers will be able to view it.

I tried to access it once but I guess it only works for UK + Ireland? certainly not in Germany...

Not impossible to view BBC iplayer outside the UK, but a great deal of hassle. You need to do it via a proxy, either free or paid-for and I find it's just a pita, especially when, almost without fail, the TV prog is available for download from a couple of sites I frequent.
By the way, here's the placeholder for the programme - sometime soon it will have the broadcast dates on it.
