Most is on my BLOG (my UV Diary), but to be honest, the technology used for the BBC HDTV film shots is protected and I can't talk about it.

Funny that they decided to use some of my oldest works, but well...

Third part of that series next Tuesday, also at 9pm GMT
which should be pretty interesting, too - OFF THE SCALE

((quote BBC) Richard Hammond explores the astonishing miniature universe all around us, revealing
that small is not only beautiful, it can also be very, very powerful.
From seeing the microscopic changes to ice crystals that can trigger an avalanche to watching in horror
the invisible aftermath of a sneeze on a commuter train and learning how the surface of an ordinary-looking
plant hides an astounding secret that will make walking on the moon safer, Richard harnesses cutting-edge
technologies to transport the viewer into a spectacular micro realm. ((unquote))

Klaus,

Just saw a program on Discovery Channel 'What You Can't See: .....' and it had a clip of the UV spectrum and what insects and birds see in that wavelength. Very similar to what you described in the BBC program, did you have anything to do with that?

That show I was involved in BBC partnered with Discovery Channel, so it may well be...

What did they show?

It was a quick bit about what we can't see in UV and IR. UV focused on birds and insects showing shots like yours of flowers with a bright UV 'target' on them. The IR was focused on Thermal Imaging, both of which was very interesting!
