I shot this today while trying out a new lens. And the light and b&w conversion, made it look so romantic in a 1930ies kind of way. So I thought id share it.

An orange filter. And then I use ctrl-3 or ctrl-4, not sure what the functions name is in photoshop, but it marks highlights and lights in the picture. Then I copy that selection into a new layer. Apply a bit of gaussian blur on the new layer and mask out everything I want unaffected. Lastly I put it to overlay and make a copy of it to make it even brighter.
Then I go thru the image and burn down shadows and lighten areas to make gradients quite harsh but even. _________________ My homepage, all manual shots |
