Yes, rare bird , default lens of Pentacon Super , camera body itself pretty expensive. I sold a very abused one around 200 GBP, nice one what I sold was above 400 GBP, but one of our member sold one for 800 GBP. _________________ -------------------------------

I only own the Pancolar 50mm 1.8 zebra (Exakta mount) and it's my favourite 50mm ever...
How good is the 1.4 one?.

I never made side by side compare shoots, boring and not help for old lenses. Every lens can be very good in good light, skilled hands and on great subjects. Compare mostly result a winner and people want to look that only...
I don't think so any of them better than others , all are excellent or stunning lenses. All sharp wide open , DOF areas are very smooth.
1.4 or 1.8 really matter ? I don't think so this a is countable difference. _________________ -------------------------------

Lovely set Attila. Mine is exactly the same as your electric version, with the same style lettering and 5 -figure serial number. I would be using it more if the blades hadn't become a little sticky.
I once did some test shots to compare with the Super-Takumar 1.4/50 and I honestly couldn't see any difference - sharpness, bokeh and colours were all very similar.
Martin, the electric version is definitely CZ Jena. _________________ Peter - Moderator |

This is similar to M42 CZJ Pancolar 55/1.4, which was copied to design CZJ Prakticar 50/1.4 first version
with some modification. They are all look-a-like I guess. _________________ Our Home Page has 18,200 photos in 575 directories today.
