Quite the opposite, I've been one of those not getting over-excited and carried away with giddyness about this new toy.

Clearly I'm going to end up with one of these. No idea why though. Apparently the EVF is far better than that of the Nex-6/7 despite the resolution being the same.

So what would be the purpose? Well, I guess it's a 300g lighter than the Canon EOS 6D. Plus, I can use my PB mount lenses on it. And focus the Primoplan 58/1.9 to infinity. The Jupiter-8 would mate nicely too I would imagine.

Still worried that SLR lenses will look massive on it though.

Plus I promised wifey I would buy her a bigger car to fit the buggie in. This won't end well.

I tried to find any answer to a simple question here, in vain.

When will it be released? I thought it was 15th nov, I can see adds everywhere...but no one sale Crying or Very sad . I asked today in a shop in Paris, they told that Sony is a bit late. Any infos about release date?

Amazon.fr says "En stock le 1 décembre 2013."

Plus its much cheaper at EUR 1.269,00 opposed to EUR 1.499 in Germany right now.

Balance the buggie on the roof of the car that's too small? Like your style!

Oh dear, looks like RF wides + A&R = severe colour shift

I got mine A7R too now, feels nice. Shutter is pretty loud, but I don´t really mind. I didn´t like the charging thru the camera with cable. I prefer external charger, but I guess this would be posible to buy really soon.

Camera is slightly bigger than my OM-D EM-5 which is good!

I need to go out and shoot! Very Happy

Stopped down to F/5.6 - some smearing in the corners and some color shift here as well

Did you need to modify it to mount it? Didn't think it worked with the crop sensor Nex models Shocked

BTW, looks stunning wide open, brilliant samples!

PostPosted: Sat Nov 23, 2013 4:26 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

This is FF, not APS-C Wink No need for modifications on a FF Very Happy

Jupiter 12 might be more expensive after the A7(R) releases, my guess.

Then there is the Russar mp-2 20mm Laughing I bought mine to collect and it is stunning sharp in the middle, super compact and looks awesome mounted on the A7R, but all kind of things is going on here. Smearing, heavy color shift, vignetting++ I can't remember if this was shot wide open or at f8, but this seems to be a difficult lens to use. I will try it more tomorrow stopped down to F11 and F16.

It might be a way to make a PS action or similar to remove most of the issues but I need to test it out.
