The Frankfurt Fair Tower (Messeturm) is a landmark in Frankfurt, and there is even a Flickr group dedicated to original pictures of the tower.
I took a few myself, when I was there during the Frankfurt Book Fair a month or so ago, and tried out my relatively new Biometar 120 & D700

ISO 400 @ f 2.8. Of course it is ridiculous to use f 2.8 for this kind of pictures, but I wanted to see, what the lense can do wide open.

Here are two more from the Book Fair.

The first one also @ f 2.8, ISO 400 of two women having a snack:

The second of the roof-construction in one of the halls. ISO 1600 @ f 5.6:

Nice lighting and great performance from the Biometar. the tower looks almost like cg rendering!
But it's not my architecture...

Excellent composition in each of these shots, Thomas!

We really have to meet for a shooting session in Frankfurt...

That tower looks ready to leap off the page in the larger version and the roof structure is like Borg Central. Excellent shots.

Excellent series Thomas. It was not there last time I was in Frankfurt, very many years ago

Nice picture, these are April colours. I was there on a very sunny autumn-afternoon, with lots of blue and yellow in the air.
I de-saturated the blue, because it looked somehow unreal.

First two pictures are really nice :) I like the way how the tower seems like a drawing, or almost a CGI rendition!
