Hello guys!
After big torture with my computer -- I am back!!!
I had to fix my hard disk which nearly collapsed..
----
I met these guys training at some ruins just outside the town ...
I was doing some boring shots and these guys asked for some pics
I didn't hesitate and started giving instructions to them --
no continuos shooting -- each shot was done just at first time
Distagon 4/18 is SIMPLY amazing lens for fast moving subjects in outdoor..

That's a mighty fine lens you have there! Do you use it often (or do you have more examples with this lens online?) _________________ Peter - Moderator

Hi Spotmatic..
Distagon 4/18 is my lovely lens -- you may use it for too many purposes..
It's perfect for short distances (it has a floating element)
and one of the BIGGEST feature is a flare resistance against the sun.
It's a perfect indoor performer too.
I will find out more examples and post them here ..

Great photos, Trifox!
Yes, Distagon 18 is lovely.
Unfortunately, it is much limited on the 5DMkII, because it never clears the mirror (due to shape of rear part, not because of focusing movements, there aren't any).
So I need to use liveview but I have to be very careful, because if liveview closes before I remove the lens, there is the risk that I can damage it.
For this reason, I think that someday I'll get a new Z series Distagon 18. _________________ Orio, Administrator

That's an interesting point!
It was a MM version on 5D MKII -- I don't have any problem with this lens (MM)--
It's not been damaged yet both in LiveView or normal mode ...

Orio, it will be OK when you go for CZ 4/18 MM version -- I can not see a problem with it on 5D MKII ... but it's up to you what you prefer: new or old Contax version

@ Poilu -- Yes, I had to lie on the floor and estimate each distance --
(my wife wasn't happy because of the dirty trousers
I found an angle of view and I was waiting for the subject to come into the frame. So I'd been fixed until I saw the first part of their body --
Picture number 6 -- that guy just had to be very careful because he was missing my head from distance 1 foot only!! -- that was the most diffucult position.. -- he's running to the sky
LiveView is a SUPERB FEATURE. I would have been dirty even more..
