I have wanted this lens for a while. Could not afford the Pentax versions and thought it would be fun to get one of these 'effect' lenses.
I have way to many 50/55 lenses so I really did not need it.

It has some PF/CA wide open if contrasty shots. But I was surprised at how sharp it was at 1.2.
All of these are at 1.2 - I look forward to really learning how to get the best out of this lens, but for now I am happy with these first ones.

A couple of night shots thru some shop windows

And the Menace thru a window, plus some early evening Human Tornado shots

I like it that you call it an "effect lens". That's f1.2 indeed.
And still it's very nice to have one. Wink

Congrats!
A very nice lens.
Is it the Tomioka OEM one that Porst also sells?.
Love the extreme bokeh, the samples are outstanding!.

Regards.

Jes.

Fantastic bokeh, especially in the first two and last two.

I appreciate the feedback...

Jes. I am not sure but I believe the three are related. Some of the more knowledgeable folks would know for sure.

I find the whole Bokeh thing a bit funny, I like the bokeh of this lens, smooth on some and trippy on others... just the way I like it (big fan of the trioplan 100)
But on another forum others commented that it was nasty... and drew attention away from the subject. Smile
One man's butter is another man's gravel... you get the idea.

Thanks again for the comments.

Geez, I definitely must get myself one of those f/1.2 lenses. I really like your results with this light-gathering lens!

It would be nice if you could post some pictures of the lens too, that would be greatly appreciated.

Great photos. One of these days I hope to get myself a 1.2 lens. Now my wish list is becoming longer and longer and longer.

I want to thank you all very much. I appreciate all the feedback this thread got. And I am sorry I did not get back to it sooner, but I was working four late nights in a row at TechCrunch50 in San Francisco.

No-X it is the kmount version... I would have prefered the M42, and have been looking for one, but this one came along and I just decided to go for it.

And Spotmatic... I took a couple of shots of it for you (with the Tair 11a... and I will throw some work snapshots up too...

My security team end up being trapped models everytime I get a new lens the week of an event!

Again thanks to all who looked and commented...
