K-2, K-2-DMD ~ maybe. The shutter, and lack of in-depth experience holds me back from further comment, or recommendation.

When it comes to robust film cameras, here are some top choices:

1. Nikon F3: Known for durability and reliability, a favorite among pros.

2. Canon F-1: Rugged construction designed for harsh conditions.

3. Leica M Series: Premium rangefinder cameras, heirloom quality.

4. Pentax K1000: Simple, durable, and great for beginners.

5. Olympus OM-1: Compact, lightweight, and reliable SLR.

6. Contax G2: High-end rangefinder with modern features.

7. Nikon FM2: Manual focus SLR known for toughness.

Your choice depends on your shooting style and preferences. Consider factors like budget, lens availability, and intended photography style.

I repeat my insistence several pages ago that the Nikonos is indestructible. Admittedkly it is not a rengefinder since the range has to be estimated.

Last week I put new batteries in , ran a film through it and the exposure system still works perfectly. Torrential rain had no ill effect. Other devices of the same vintage might well have given up by now.
