12 years after Attila's, mine was produced in Russia, not as rare nor as valuable, but all the same, precious to me and I love her:

Nice Kiev, Ian, so much better looking than having the snuff box meter on top, too.

PostPosted: Sat Apr 28, 2012 1:38 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Cheers guys, I really enjoy using the Kiev, has a real quality feeling and makes me think about the shots rather than snapping away.

I also have this cute little Yashica 35-ME:

Bill do you want one?
..I stopped looking for and buying fixed lens rangefinders, but if there still are real bargains to be found here in Japan than it is exactly those! I am still here for 2 weeks, I could watch out for one, a bit awkward to ask, but actually best if I knew how much was the max. you are willing to pay ( for I shall be around shops most likely only once, max. twice only before leaving. )

best greetings,
Andreas

Andreas (oh my, I've gone and done it) please just enjoy your stay. I've always wanted the CCN,
feel it's the jewel in the crown of the Electro series, but will wait till I retire to look for one. Thanks
for your kind offer! Smile

Here are some newer pics from my set.

This is my fabulous Agfa Selectronic S, I suspect that there are not many of these about.

Very fine looking black one! I have a humble chrome example.

Last week I just found a second copy in the Recycling Shop (€ 2.50). Beautifull and works except for the rewinding, so I have to take a shot film out of the camera in a changing bag Sad . No idea if I can repair that issue.
Your Selectronic looks very good too.
My other one looks more used, but is completely functional. Very Happy

Great to hear of another user, is yours a selectronic "s" or non "s" model? Mine is virtually mint but had exactly the same issue as yours, its a simple fix, remove the bottom plate then clean and re grease the mechanism. Its pretty easy to do. PM me if you have any issues, I might be able to help. Along a similar vein I also have a Silette LK that Ive converted to half frame, http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnhorsfield/4752590499/in/set-72157625116962489

I have loads! Problem is they are all in print! I dont really have a reliable scanner, but I'll see what I can do and post a few.

Its a nice thing, good german build quality, large and bright rangefinder, with aperture and shutter speed shown clearly, ultra quiet and light shutter release. The camera operates in aperture priority with no manual shutter control, the aperture ring (which is stepless by the way) is closest to the camera body, the focusing ring at the end of the lens. The lens seems to be nice and sharp with good contrast.

I havent used it in a while, I think I'll stick a film in it!

Mine are both Selectronic S models.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will try to go inside and repair the rewind switch.
They are nice compact and give a sturdy feeling. Pleasant to work with.

You are quite a hero in tinkering!
I just found an Agfa Paramat that seems to be OK (€ 2.50), so I can retry halfformat wit an Agfa without such actions. And besides I have a nice Yashica half 17 Rapid and a Fujica half 1.9 (lightmeter stuck, rest OK).

I can't believe that this little piece of german engineering isn't already present in this thread:

Tiny little rangefinder by spoilerhead, on Flickr

Zeiss Ikon Voigtländer Vitessa 1000SR.
In contrast to the Vitessa 500 models this one comes with a (small) rangefinder.
