As many of you might know I have had a duel (just words) against Orio lately.

I learned that Orio is a man who stands up to what he believes in, and because of that, I can´t think of anyone better to moderate this forum.

I personally have no ideological or moral problem against legal pornography, but it can not be accepted on this forum because we don't have the necessary filters and instruments to ensure that the vision is limited to consenting adults. This forum is open to persons of all ages including minors, so pornography is necessarily a no-no here, because minors need to be protected.

This also raises the artistic nudity issue.

Nudes are a main theme for photographers.
Yes you guess right, I have nothing against artistic nude photography. We never talked about it with Attila yet.
My suggestion is that photographs of artistic nudes are always linked to, instead of embedded, and that they are always explicited by a warning.
This should solve the moral problem somebody might have with artistic nudes, and at the same time preserve the right of those photographs to be seen and enjoyed.

Thanks Lahnet. I enjoyed our discussion Smile

We must never be afraid of words.
Who is afraid of words? The dictatorial regimes. It's them who close down newspapers, burn books, prohibit public forums.

Persons who so easily invoke banning and censoring of other people, should try to learn from history before invoking the guillotine of the censors

The censor's guillotine that pleases you today, can be used to shut you up tomorrow.

There is no way other than free speech. Someday, all men will understand this. But until then, we'll have to fight for it.

Sounds a sensible approach to me. I won't raise the question of what constitutes tasteful nude, erotic art or plain pornography... Wink

I agree to what has been said. This is absolutely no place for pornography!
Although some kind of pornography is legal, I still think that it conveys a perverted view of sexuality. My 2c.
(And I have been in the army, so I had the chance to see or rather had no other choice than looking at porn mags. Wink)

With artistic nudity it is different. This does not cast a twisted light on sexuality, on the contrary, it shows the pure aesthetics of the human body.

Still, I support Orio's idea that there should be a link with some kind of warning, so that everybody can decide if he/she wants to look at it or not. Cool
