I have tried this shot so many times and never could get the bee in focus but today I was very very lucky Very Happy
(enlarger lens meopta anaret 4.5/105mm+extension rings+ flash&diffuser on D700...)

amazing capture! i alsot thought about it alot, that moment when i will get that shot of that "bee" while its hovering still.

btw its not a bee but a fly that imitates a bee's look. Wink it cannot bite you. in russian we used to call it "radiolka" (rah-dee-ol-kah) hehe.. Razz

Great capture! I never succeeded. They hang seconds in one place in the air till the moment you trip the shutter. At that same moment they have chosen in a flash a new place, nearly one meter away Sad .
