This is a must-have lens.
After getting almost all of the most-wanted Zeiss glass, this is the one I love.
Explosive mix of sharpness AND 3D look.
My success rate, even with ever-moving targets, is much higher than with any other lens.

It was very funny when my little niece encountered a printed copy of this photo (a single one, not 2 glued together as presented here).
She rotated it a few times trying to decide which way is up. Then she suddenly ran away to some other toy...

Click to see the high resolution version.

Thanks Tobias!

Unfortunately, color in the scaled-down version by the forum software is horrible, even for me (I suffer from color-blindness).
The scaled image has no color profile associated, and my Mac uses my monitor's profile to show the image.
This results in a total mess for me. However, I think I could solve this problem with Attila.

Great photo that conveys genuine happiness Smile How would you describe the bokeh on this lens?

I would describe the bokeh of the lens as "busy".
Although the subject does stand out, you cannot expect the same bokeh as, for instance, from the 85mm f/1.4 Planar.
The maximum aperture of the lens is f/3.4 and depth of field at f/3.4 is already much bigger than, say, at f/2.

hi Nikos I corrected the balance for what I could:

the orangeish tinge is not removable 100%.

Thanks Orio!
I used the ceiling to bounce the flash, and apparently the colors picked up an orange cast from the walls.

A great part of the improvement comes from the fact that you added an sRGB profile when you saved the image.
But we have to make this happen automatically, else most photos scaled by the forum will have a color shift.
The "best" part is that, the better the monitor the worse it looks Laughing
