Hi everyone, today I was drunk and I bought this lens. The Palinar, despite having a thread of about 42mm, I cannot mount an M42 adapter for EF. Anyone have any news on these goals? they come from Morocco ...

It likely has a T-mount this is also m42 but with a narrow thread pitch 0.75mm instead of 1mm. Stay away from E-bay when under the influence!

Hello, unfortunately it does not even mount the T2.
On the MFL forum with a search for "Palinar" he talks about my zoom 100-200 but I can't log in. I need 100 posts that I don't have. Anyone can peek and tell me what thread it has? m43x0,75 ??

Doesn't say. Your H serial number denotes manufacturer. Probably m44 Miranda mount? http://forum.mflenses.com/h-code-lenses-t42233,start,15.html and http://forum.mflenses.com/question-on-t-t2-adapters-t82281.html and http://lens-club.ru/lenses/item/c_8097.html (use Google translate.google.com )

Yeah there are m44 palinars https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294164876403 When it doesn't screw on at all it is wider than m42. If t2 the adapter will screw on a bit and get stuck.

Surely measuring the threads will tell.
I have several sets of cheap plastic calipers (like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185269254619?hash=item2b22e879db:g:lH0AAOSwW-Bh75gk) for this, which make them easy to measure without having to dig out better tools. If measuring the female threads they even allow M42 & T2 to be told apart (T2 is about 0.25mm bigger) Smile
To tell M44 from M42 even a ruler should be enough.

Canon FD 100mm f/4 macro.

I consider this a latest addition to my collection, although it was sitting on my shelf for 3 years. Remember buying it from our national internet market place, together with a 50mm Canon macro, but the lens looked like an absolute dog. Scratches on the front element, tons of dust inside, and some small patches of fungus. The 50mm even worse, and had to go straight into the trash.

Hoped for a better lens as the seller put in its advertisement that the lenses were 'meticulously tested and perfect'. Actually just decided, despite the awful state of the 100mm, to give it a try on my Sony, and I must say the image looks really good. Maybe I put some sample images one of these days.

Just a warning to Belgian and Dutch users: this Marktplaats seller is called Fixthis, from Oostende BE, and is still active. 'Alles uitgebreid getest en werkt perfect' in all of his adds: don't buy from this fraud.

The one on the right is new. Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.0. Next to the 50/1.1 Nokton. Plan to put these through the paces this weekend.

Tonight I added another Super Takumar to the stable. A 28mm f3.5 early version with the 58mm front element filter.

Nokton 50mm F1.0, wide-open on the M Monochrom.

And on the M9.

This lens is one of the best super-speed lenses ever.

Acquired cheaply. It wil be interesting to compare with my tak 55mm 1.8. QQ is this a cosina? There is a cosina 55mm 1.8 and this certainly has a lot of similarities.
Was it one of you guys who won the topcon 300mm 2.8 (item # 175139854491)or topcon 500mm f5.6 (item # 175139987627) that were sold as part of lens bundles on ebay recently?

Just got a Yashica DS-M 50mm f1.4. Call me shallow but my favorite part about the lens is that it pairs well with my adapters, size-wise. Takumars just look a little goofy. Aesthetics matter! The photos are nice, too. (all taken with a Lens Turbo)

I have been on the lookout for one of these locally for a little while. I bought one previously which turned out to be defective and unable to be disassembled for service. Paxette cameras seem to have been well sold on New Zealand, they regularly turn up on the local auction site and the previous F2 lens was also a local purchase.

Possibly is a Cosina - most likely not a Petri made lens, as it is in the later M42 mount that followed the Petri breechmount.
It might still be an excellent lens.
The original Petris were M42 before they developed their breech mount, and all of those Petri made standard lenses are excellent
Petri went from M42 to breechmount (Petri bayonet) - and then back to M42 when their lenses were made out of house

Voigtländer SL 125mm 2.5 APO LANTHAR incoming Happy Dog

Can't wait for it to arrive to use it with my Nikon Df and it's "brothers".
After comparison I am wondering if I can then part with either one of them

Voigtländer SL 75mm 2.5 Color Heliar
Voigtländer SL II 90mm 3.5 APO LANTHAR
Voigtländer SL 180mm 4.0 APO LANTHAR

or ending up with a bunch of "keepers" Rolling Eyes

Congrats Set of lenses I can only dream about...all keepers to me.

Like 1 Congrats

Rare one. I believe it is a re-branded Quinon.

This is my first success at taking a fixed RF lens from a vintage camera and mounting it on a digital adapter, in this case a Sony E mount. The Riken Ricomat 4.5cm f/2.8, made by Tomioka, is from a Ricoh 500 version 2 from 1958. The lens had a bad shutter, and the helicoid was frozen, but the glass is clear and the iris blades are clean and work smoothly. After soaking the helicoid section over several days in various solvents from lighter fluid to concentrated cleaning solution, with no results, I found that heating it to about 200F (roughly 95C) in a toaster oven for a few minutes loosened it enough to allow me to get it working again. This is an ideal lens for a beginner to convert because it removes so easily from the camera by unscrewing a threaded ring at the back, and the flange focal distance is what appears to be a fairly common standard among fixed-lens rangefinders: 27mm. I used a NEX > Leica LTM adapter as the base, but that's about 1mm too thick for scale focusing, so next time I'll use a helicoid. It's a smooth, compact little lens and I'm looking forward to using it.

Some years ago I acquired this lens as a bag of parts from a friend who had dis-assembled it and couldn't put it back together.
Neither could I as it turned out, and even the Nikon repair tech at the camera store wouldn't touch it.
So I sold the bag of bits as-is, and the clever purchaser did manage it.
Ever since, I have been looking for one with the right balance of price and condition.
Finally found one.

Congrats. That's a fun one. It's not as heavy or as bulky as it looks, either.

That's a really nice lens for portraits - lots of resolution and pretty low contrast wide open. I'm more a "100mm-guy" than a "85mm", and therefore I got the 1.8/105mm instead of the 1.4/85mm. The 2/135mm also is a nice portrait lens, but a bit heavy and not so smooth to focus.

I'm sure we're gonna see some nice images/portraits pretty soon Wink

That is a beaut for sure.
Watch those mis-aligned rabbit ear prongs- especially on F, and FTN based film cameras.
I had one like that on a nikkor, and it hung up on the F2 Photomic meter housing.
They can be carefully re-aligned a bit at a time, as long as no excessive force is used.
I learned that one the hard way.

Thanks fellas.
Yes, I will be careful of the prongs - It will be used mostly on my F4 for film.
Cheers

Little unorthodox but I got a used yet mint Meike 25mm f/1.8 for around 40€ recently.
Sucks that I cannot try it out since my a6000 is in transit.

Minolta AF 50mm f/2.8 macro as recommended by Stephan. I figured this could be a very nice landscape / nature lens, as it has very good colors, resolution and corner performance (also at infinity) and also allows for an occasional macro or close up shot.

I got a present from the lens fairy today, a mint condition 50-300mm f/4.5 ED Zoom Nikkor. It is so sharp I have to handle it with leather gloves!

A somewhat dusty and dingy Tamron 80-210mm F3.8-4 103-A with a P/K adapt-all-2 adapter.

Glass looks okay- a bit dusty on the inside.
Found in the junk bin at camera shop. $2.00 CAD and it's mine, all mine. Wink
I think this is my first lens under 20.00, and absolutely my first two dollar lens.

Quick shot with it on the fotodiox nikon adapt-all-2 adapter, which really dumbs down the camera.

I'll get it into the proper Tamron adapter in the morning, which has the a/i stub on it...
