Just curious, how insurance payout + shipping compare to customs fee? (perhaps a clever "bonehead") _________________ ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮ like attracts like! ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮

The package hadn't been opened and showed no damage. Also no way for them to know the state of the lens when shipped. I had to check the seller pics to see if I had missed it. Hi Doc! I thought that lens looked familiar. I thought I had the same thing in Vivitar. Nope... different focal length range. Serial number indicates mine is a Tokina. It makes me wonder who made your copy.
I can outdo anyone one bad photographs. These are from a dedicated camera. I took them in a snap-shot kind of fashion to record what box they are stored in. "Keepers" in that box, but stored to being a specialty lens on an X-T1 crop sensor. Keepers can get replaced, but not really used or tested this one yet. Photos I did take are from a weakish tripod. Picked up last September, 22 USD delivered.

Just found a clear picture of the Optomax version here on the lenses sticky sub-forum.
I'll go along with the Tokina thing- it is so oh very close...
Half f-stops on mine and a 67mm filter thread and 8 aperture blades by my count.
Incidentally, those half f-stops are not a rookie selling point- they actually work quite well with match-needle metering systems...

It will go nice with the AE-1 she likes.
I am sort of jealous of it already.
My nearest nikkor equivalent is an old Q.C. 3.5 that is almost twice the size and weight.
At any rate, this one seems fairly clean, and in normal working order...

It likely has a T-mount this is also m42 but with a narrow thread pitch 0.75mm instead of 1mm. Stay away from E-bay when under the influence! _________________ pentaxian |

Hanimex 2.8/135mm, Tokina-made as far as I know:
The lens is well made and (to me) looks rather stylish. Its front ring was slightly dented, but that was quite easy to correct! For some reasons also a mechanical connector coupling the aperture ring with the aperture mechanism had been dis-engaged. That was quite easy to repair as well. Looking at the interior of the lens everything looks much more "rural" than with contemporary Minolta lenses (which I know better).
The performance of the lens is quite OK - at least for its time. Its resolution in the corners is a bit lower than with the Auto Rokkor-PF 2.8/135mm, and the contrast certainly is lower. Also the Hanimex colors are duller and clearly less vibrant, compared to the Auto Rokkor (which is a lens from around 1965!).
Mamiya Sekor 2.8/50mm (middle lens):
It's a classic Tessar [4/3] construction, and it has the typical properties (weaknesses) of a Tessar. Not really a landscape lens, not even stopped down to f11! It is shown here with its faster cousins, the excellent 2/50mm (left) and 1.8/55mm (right) Sekors. I don't own neither the 1.4/55mm nor the (extremely rare) 1.2/55mm, but at least the 1.4/55mm should arrive here at some point .

Some collectors of Mamiya have said that the 55/1,4 (same planar of Contarex scheme) was made by Cosina, but the 55/1,2 was made by Tomioka. |

Sun Hi-Tele 1:4 f=200mm - a nice looking pre-set tele lens in like-new condition (apart from the front lens, which has a few cleaning marks). It's an M42 lens, and its barrel measures nearly 15 cm. This means that the lens isn't much of a "tele" since the total length from front lens to sensor/film equals to nearly 20 cm. Usually that's a good sign, performance-wise. I have several large 1960s tele lenses which have no more CAs than their later LD (and sometimes even ED / UD) equivalents from the late 1970s.
Interestingly, there's next to nothing to be found in the net about this lens.

Hi everyone, today I was drunk and I bought this lens. The Palinar, despite having a thread of about 42mm, I cannot mount an M42 adapter for EF. Anyone have any news on these goals? they come from Morocco ... |
It likely has a T-mount this is also m42 but with a narrow thread pitch 0.75mm instead of 1mm. Stay away from E-bay when under the influence! |
Hello, unfortunately it does not even mount the T2.
On the MFL forum with a search for "Palinar" he talks about my zoom 100-200 but I can't log in. I need 100 posts that I don't have. Anyone can peek and tell me what thread it has? m43x0,75 ?? |

Can't wait for it to arrive to use it with my Nikon Df and it's "brothers".
After comparison I am wondering if I can then part with either one of them
Voigtländer SL 75mm 2.5 Color Heliar
Voigtländer SL II 90mm 3.5 APO LANTHAR
Voigtländer SL 180mm 4.0 APO LANTHAR

Yeah there are m44 palinars https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294164876403 When it doesn't screw on at all it is wider than m42. If t2 the adapter will screw on a bit and get stuck. _________________ pentaxian |
