philslizzy - I can report that the head is plenty sturdy, and survived being bashed around in an abandoned Slate Mine today, including a 50ft abseil down an wet, slippery, airshaft into the mine itself. Good stuff for something so cheap.

My local Jessops didn't have one, but the photos and recommendations have convinced me. I'll look in Manchester on monday or order one on line. Thanks for your help guys!

The tamron will be going on my Nikon DSLR if I can find one of the original Adaptall adapters

Is this any good to You?

My Tamron 300mm f5.6 lens is an Adapt-a-matic, made before the adaptall. has anyone got a Nikon mount for it? I'll pay or exchange for my M42 mount

New (old stock) Yashica ML 300/4 for $47.
New (old stock) Yashica ML 50/2 for $8
Used, mint Yashica ML 100/2.8 Macro for $35

I think that these could be classified as bargains.

I guess a Canon FD 100mm f/4 for £15 (+postage) also classifies as a bargain but I still need to get the adapter to test it out.

I dare not say just how little I paid for this mint 135/2.5....(mint other than not being able to get the filter off...)

Last weekend, I picked up a Minolta MD Rokkor 100mm F4 Macro in Tokyo. It included the matched macro extension tube.

Total price was 1000yen!!!!! (about $13 USD or about 10 EUR) It's in almost mint condition, no fungus or haze.

If you are in the EU or if the total cost of items with shipping is very low, I could be the lucky one? Smile

unfortunately I am not in the EU and shipping to EU countries from the US would be US$30-35....and on ebay the cheapest comparable quality 135/2.5 sold for $135 (highest was $199+shipping)...

Local camera dealer hit decimal error when they listed Nikon F to Canon adapter in their webstore, I paid 15.90 EUR each for 4 adapters manufactured by Cosina/Voigtländer 8-D

Do you need 4 for yourself? If yes ok, but otherwise you should have left it at 1 and notified them about the error afterwards.

I must say that the external condition of the sonnar is far from excellent: the barrel is dirty and shows some paint loss.
On the other hand, glass seems incredibly pristine, except some major dust -on the outside Smile .

I haven't got my laptop here, so I can't check pics at full res, but what I see through the EVF it's giving me good vibrations.
