I just won a Jupiter-6-2
I really did not plan to buy any more lenses for some time, but this one is rare and I thought I should not miss it, and perhaps regret for years.

I already have the silver M42 version, now the black one makes a nice pair that not many people have, I think.
I will let you know, and of course show samples, when it arrives.

What is a reasonable price for a Jupiter 6 ?

There is one on ebay now, in the US. I am tempted to seriously bid on this.

Alternately, one of the CZJ 19=80/2.8, which I assume will go for less.

Ah, no, sorry. The Jupiter 6 is actually in Kiev.

But it is the first on I've seen for sale in ebay in three months.

Trustworthy seller price is reasonable, don't hesitate take it.

If it's the same that I see, it has Pentacon 6 mount.
So you will need a Pentacon 6 adapter to the camera you use.

It is in fact the first one I see with P6 mount
Must be really rare.

Congrats Orio! I was bidding on that lens too.

I have seen very promising photos from it, you'll love it.

But don't forget to go to the gym, it weights 1,5 kg!

Congratulations! Finally, you have bought another lens. Thank God. I was about to get a bad conscience, because of your immense self control. Wink

I'm sorry Juan. I placed an early bit on the item, and at the time, the bidders names were not encrypted and I could not see any that I knew.
Immediately after my first bid, they encrypted the names (and I wonder why), so of course it was impossible to recognize aliases.

Don't worry Orio, probably you wanted it more than me, and sure you'll get better photos.

There will be other opportunities in the future. I am looking after other things (light meter and Jupiter 12 for my Zorki), so money will be spent too.

When ebay introduced bidder name encryption it was only when actual bids reached a threshold of 100ukp - if the actual bid level hadn't reached that yet in your auction, maybe it now triggers on whether your proxy bid might exceed 100ukp eventually.

All bids in US auctions are now hidden until the auction end. Then only the winner will show. This is new in the last 3 weeks. It has made proxy bidding less effective as everyone now wants to snipe.

What is proxy bidding?

It's just the normal ebay type of bid when you put in a maximum and ebay bids it up for you. Ebay acts as your proxy in that case.

I think will need to establish an order for further Jupiter 6 auctions. There are too many of us interested. Laughing
