Very nice!

On the one hand it's weird to see those buildings covered with snow, on the other hand it reminds me of "The Name of the Rose".

And we still have no snow here! Crying or Very sad

Enjoy it - it's away before you know!

And #2 - great picture and I knew without looking that it was that particular distagon. I'm spoiled forever Laughing

I agree, very nice! Also #3.

(Also, weird to see snow in places that are in my mind associated with warmth and summer, but of course it can't be summer all the time.)

Thanks for your comments guys!
You don't see much quantity of snow in the photos, but I was able to go out to take these photos only 10 days after the biggest snowfall. So in the meantime the size of snow was reduced.
I really enjoyed photographing the snow this time, I felt inspired, I had a lot of ideas about possible subjects.
I also feel lucky that I can use very good lenses that allow me to capture the snow texture effectively. Snow texture can be very hard to capture if the lens does not have a good micro-contrast,
because detail takes a very narrow space in the histogram. It is one of those few subjects where the lens can really make a difference.
I am very happy with the way #3 turned out. That was one of the most difficult photographs that I ever took, and it came out exactly as I wanted.

That's a lot of snow.
We've been spoiled this winter ( by who ? Very Happy ), not too much snow.
Toronto had first snow this winter last sunday. Quite unbelievable.
#2 for me please.

you should relocate to nordic countries - your capabilities of taking snow pictures is outstanding
funniest for me is no 4 and 9 because they really challenge to imagine where the shots are taken

#2 is exceptional. I like the look and pop. And the composition is also fantastic. #s4 and 7 are also very well done. A great series overall, though.

Another superb series Orio! Your images always look alive. It must be those Zeiss that gives them the extra sparkle apart from your great eye of course Wink

Very nicely done. My favorite of them would be #7 Wink
(interesting composition with those lines on the field)

Excellent series, x-country ski heaven! And snow shovel hell. Wink Smile

Really excellent Orio. I didn't have time to explore recent messages until now and I came across these lovely pictures.

Without the buildings it could be anywhere (even here!), but the Italianate architecture nailes it. Even so, No. 3 without any buildings is still the best one for me too.
