Water from glaciers give green water
We have lots of it in Norway and many rivers change color in mid/ late summer from blueish to greenish when the melt water comes from the glaciers

the snow line here was at 1800-1900m.
it's hard to say which amount of snow because there was much wind too which makes the estimation quite difficult. But when I was walking inbetween those blanc rocks my legs got down about 40-50 cm.
At one point I made a step and my right foot totally disappered
so it's just a matter how the wind shuffels the snow together ...
