A wonderful autumn day today let me grab my cam and that wonderful lens and hop over the street to the Herrmanshof Park.

full resized:

100% crop

Bokeh (full frame)

CA-Test: full frame

100% crop CA=ZERO

Resolution Test

full frame

100% crop - more than the D200 sensor can handle

[my resizer is crap - these look so shabby here as compared to the creamy originals]

all fully open shots (f2.5) unmodified, straight from the cam (Nikon D200)

Thanks guys - I was impressed myself, since I had done the Angenieux 35-70mm zoom shots (also posted here) just a few minutes before, when this idea came up...

WOW!!!! That performance is bloody impressive!!!
(and nice photos, too :)

Looks like I need to get an Apo-Lanthar, but before that, a body that can cope with the quality :P

I recommend the D3X, but the lens has still reserves even with that sensor!

Well, let me see... (quoted prices as new, and from the cheapest local store I know of):
D700 2150 €
D3 4000 €
D3X 7200 €

With my budget, I think I'm going for the D700 :-D

It's all but nice weather here, but I really enjoyed your photos so my lunch hour is not entirely lost Very Happy What did you use to resize them, Klaus?

I like the red leaf on the gravel, but all make a nice set! These Apo
Lanthars are some fabulous glass!
