I like to see pictures what they shows nice things what I like to see on my wall. Old garbage, destroyed houses , back yards etc, not interest me at all.
I like if photography shows nice parts of life I see enough dark side everyday.

I like it. I like to see old things from the past. Some times from a way of life long gone.

I like it a lot.

The light is perfect, look like the two shadows area are balancing themselves from the corners, the colors as well. I'd have kept the lines straight, but this is more of my style (I'm very "formal" in stills).

hi Tobbsman,
fascinating subject and nice picture.
What about B&W?
It would remove the cheerful side, to the advantage of the result in my opinion.

In contrast to Attila, I like these alomst "morbid" pictures a lot and yours is great! I would love to see it a little larger...

Hi all !!

That's the nice thing I like about the meaning of "taste". What the other likes, the other hates.
Thanks for the different feedbacks. Orio, I will give the B&W version a chance tonight. To be honest I have not thought about a B&W conversion of this photograph.
I will post it in a bigger version as well ...

The shot was made under the roof the Church of Goes, Holland. I got a private guided tour from the sacristan, he showed me some special places up there, and I had the feeling that nobody enterd this rooms since the church was built. Was a special athmosphere there indeed.

Here's a B&W conversion. How do you like it in comparison with the original ?

Genuine is lot better for me, I like dramatic pictures only in B&W.

You have added grain?
I don't like digital grain. Also your picture does not need it because there is lots of nice textures already.

Your photo has a great potential, it does not need a makeup because it's already good, so I would keep it as simple and as unretouched as possible. Just straight conversion, keeping deep blacks, and allowing the rich greys in between to "sing":

Hi Orio !

You are so 100% wright! Just saw that there was still this "Red Filter" turned on in B&W conversion mode in CS3. This caused this incredible noisy result.
Here is the plain B&W conversion a bit bigger:

Yes, much better now Smile I always use deep blacks, they give life to photos.

this pic is not straight, it is unbalanced to the right and even b&w cannot help

I like this one, and mostly the original colour image.
The setting looks genuine and undisturbed for many years.
