We had been through the bad (not as bad as some other states or like few years back we had) ice-storm and then snow storm.... I took the camera out in the storm, to capture the storm itself not just the snow...

(All captured with Canon 450D...)

(With Nikkor-P 180mm f2.8 )

(With Nikkor-P 180mm f2.8 )

(with Leica Elmarit-R 35mm f2.8 )

I love the vastness of midwestern landscapes...
(All with Leica Elmarit-R 35mm f2.8 )

Some after the storms..

Great captures - I love the second barn shot. I'd love to see one of those for real sometime - they just don't make them that big over here Wink

It's very difficult to capture on picture the feeling of being in a snow storm. I think #1 comes close.
I like the barn as well. Looks very American too me.

Snowstorms are very difficult to photograph because of the wind and
spread the feeling out there... too fast shutter speed removes the feeling of the wind when everything is halted.

I like snow itself. On the road it doesn't matter either... Nice to drive some
small sand roads covered by snow with back wheel powered car with bending to the curves side first Very Happy

Another nice thing is driving on the lake... Just make the track on the ice
by removing all the snow away... What is better than 100% ice track Smile

Sad it isn't so 100% sure or the period is very short when lakes are frozen enough to carry cars... Global warming... Sad

Years back we could drive cars and even trucks on the lake quite long period... Now you must be sure before walking on some lakes... at least in the south for most of the time..

I like the first one very much. While the last one really makes me want an Elmarit.

Looks like the road here this morning. Yes...we got hit by another snow storm. I skidded a few time and thank God, I didn't hit anyone.

Thanks everyone.. yes, we had really bad weather, but little OK temperature (around around -3C to 0C... yes, dropped around -6/7 during ice rain)... Now its sunny, but temperature is dropping like crazy...

Few more around the same time.. (all captured with Elmarit-R 35mm f2.8 first version)
