Just a few pics rattled off yesterday in Kilkenny High Street. As always, it's surprising what you find when you look at the collection of images later on.

Bakery kid.

High Street westward.

Interest.

"It was this big."

Takeaway kid.

Three amigos.

Two smiles.

Nice series Dave. I always like to see cities I don't know as photographed by other photographers. You should take and post more!
Here for me undisputed winner is #1 , and big laugh with title of #4 ! Laughing

Yes no 1 for me - lovely capture, it's got a compositional simplicity that I like.

I like the last one best, so lucky capture, nice smiles.

I've been there 2 years ago. Lovely place and nice people (and better not to talk about the beer Wink Rolling Eyes).

For me no.1 too but no.4 is really nice even if it would need some cropping to stand out as it deserves.

Yes, very nice shots.
Kilkenny? First thing that came to my mind was the beer. Wink

Great series, thanks for sharing!.
As Orio said, it's nice to see the cities by the other's eyes...

Great series, Dave! Yep, #1 for me, but agree with Alessandro on #4.

Ditto, what lens? Plastic Holga? Kidding, maybe the Helios 44?

Thanks, guys.
Number 4 was left uncropped because it sets the scene for number 5, whether it actually works that way is doubtful. I think 4 would be better cropped in tight to the main pair and 5 could be cropped to leave the guy and his kid with the end of the shop showing.
The lens was the faithful Tamron SP28-80, which lives on the camera most of the time now.

By the way, the Kilkenny brewery had the chop from Head Office recently. I don't think it's closed quite yet, but it's happening soon. As with most things beer-related in Ireland, it's owned by Guinness, and they just see the balance figures.

Nice shots.
I agree with Attila and it is nice to see big smiles in our busy city life!

Kilkenny looks to be a pretty city.

Makes me think of wandering out of the garden to try some street photography.

I'm a lemming on this one. # 1 is my fav as well. It is a great candidate for B+W conversion if you don't mind me saying.
