Tricky subject, no room to play with exposure or DOF: the scene dictated the photos. I wanted backlight to make it less ordinary, and to provide some edges.

Next time I would like to try mixing in some artificial lighting. But I don't have a LED lamp and neither blue gel to use with a common torch.

Beautiful shots and fascinating blossoms.
I am not very disturbed by the lightning, #3 seems perfect #2 is good as well.

Cheers
Tobias

Nice shots. I love the bokeh goodness and colors in #3.

Thanks. These flowers are difficult to photograph because they are very intricate with monochrome petals and not much clear structure.
I like the backlight because it takes you a bit away from the usual, bit boring "perfect" flower shot that you get with frontal or diffused lighting.
At the same time, I'd wish for more "intra-petal" shadows, but that would be possible only with the help of some artificial lighting.
Without, the colours, tones are good, but the structure of the open flowers does not really come out clearly.

Very well done Orio, despite the mentioned difficulties!
