They used scann to 20 x 30 cm., 3627 x 2433 pixeles ( 8,82 MP ) at 300 dpm. I don't know more about this.

Lovely examples. We can all do with revisiting some of these real legends. You do show the pancolar to advantage.

Superb, Rino. Are these in the Gallery? They should be.

I agree with Dave.

The first two are spectacular.
The first one in particular is so good it could be in any nature book or magazine.

Rino,

These are really nice, #2 especially.

Which Pancolar is this? I have a Zebra version and like you, I am pleased with it too. I casually compared this with a Planar 1.7/50 and noticed that Pancolar is almost as sharp as the Planar. At wide open Pancolar has less purple fringing than the Planar. I am very surprised. I would have thought the newer lens with it's T* coating would perform better.

Thank for your commentary.

Respect the pancolar, it's black MC "aus Jena" (ex yellow, now yellowish).

When you compare the pancolar with the planar, don't forget that your zebra pancolar isn't MC (actually both are sharp), but the MC coating can increase the contast and, with this, increase the sensation of sharpness too.

And if you pancolar is yellow (like the mine was), that circumstances can make lesser constast image - and this can diminish the sharpness sensation too.

Regards, Rino.

SO SORRY.

I WAS CONFUSED. THIS PICS DIDN'T TAKEN WITH FILM CAM. THEY WERE IN THE SAME DVD THAT I USED TO FILE MY PHOTOS TAKEN WITH FILM.

MOAN THE MISTAKE.

I TOOK THE PICS BUT NOT WITH FILM, WITH DIGITAL CAM.
