All were taken with Tamron SP90/2.5 and Pentax *istDs during a couple of days hike in Oulanka nature park. Most of my shots were taken with kit lens or with the LX-compo in one of the images as the main thing was the hiking (not photography), but I'm glad I desided to pull SP90/2.5 from the back for some close-ups etc. _________________ DSLR: K-5,K20d+Grip, Ist*Ds

I love these.
I just can't believe how much it looks like here at home in Maine.
My cousins husband, now in his 70s, is from Finland. He always said it looked like home here.
I put these up "for no other reason" than to show you how much your area looks like mine.
Years ago with the 20D. Not very high quality, but you can see what I mean.

Thanks, Schnauzer!
It sure looks similar. The Oulanka nature park is the most popular nature resort in Finland, and probably the most photographed also .

I often wonder why there'd be a need for any other lens in that general focal length range... the SP 90 is so good. Excellent photos, and yeah, makes me miss home. _________________ -Jussi

I agree that the SP90 is a great lens... but there is a lot of great competition in 85-90mm range . If you think the price of the lens it's bargain. _________________ DSLR: K-5,K20d+Grip, Ist*Ds

Thank you, Orio!
I composed the #5 and saw that there was something still missing from the photo, luckily there was a canoe on it's way downstream and I managed to get that in the picture. _________________ DSLR: K-5,K20d+Grip, Ist*Ds

Heh. It's surprising how often something like that happens, to set it off right. _________________ Dave - Moderator
