This year there was a lot of people (although it does not seem so in my photos) and it was difficult to move around! Also dificult to see well the objects.
There was a lot of stuff and very good prices. Unfortunately I'm nearly broke so I could only afford a Distagon 2.8/35. It comes well equipped with the original caps, original box, and some of the paperwork. Basically only the pouch is missing from the original package. It is in excellent condition and works great, I just tested it quickly in my studio, it has a killing sharpness wide open. I will put it soon for sale, so keep an eye on the new marketplace.
There were great copies of Vario-Sonnar 80-200 and 28-85, of Leica Macro-Elmarit 100mm, pristine copies actually of a lot of Leica R lenses, a lot of Summicron 50, ELmarit 28, 35, 90, 135, Apo-Telyt 180... lots of Exakta lenses and of Contarex lenses, lots of old Nikkors, Takumars, Olympus.
And some very beautiful cameras, including three Rectaflex SLR, lots of Leicas, lots of Contax, lots of Canon rangefinder and lenses
In the book department, I bought some lovely Ferrania booklets from the 60s. With the intent of doing promotion to their films, the booklets display a lot of photographs, many of which of street photography. They are very interesting.

One side note, to explain the reason why of all those national flags. This year 2011 is the 150th anniversary of the reunification of Italy (1861), with a lot of celebrations all over the country. The town of Montecchio is in the province of Reggio Emilia, which is the city where the tricolore (three colours flag) was created, and they are very proud of that -so here's why the flags.

All photos taken with Leica M9 and Zeiss Biogon 2/35 ZM

a bit handshake in this one:

A seller friend of mine, caught during his brunch pause: Rolling Eyes

Here's the test picture of the Distagon 2.8/35 that I mentioned, taken a few minutes ago in my studio. Camera is the 5D MkII. Aperture wide open.
As you can see, in spite of the hand-hold and of the high ISO, the wide open sharpness of this lens is deadly!

100% crop, focus on the book "Bonsai":

Thank you for the pictures. #1 has an amazing (to me at least) amount of stereo equipment. Much more than I have ever seen in one place.

Why we haven't such fairs in our country? Damn.
That Distagon made great plastic picture.
