My recently rebuilt ,restored and repainted Krystall m39 slr, basically the same as a Zenit 3M, but earlier. Luckily it was in good working condition just needed some parts replacing from a 3M amd cleaning and spraying. It does have the 'hammered' paint finish it just doesn't show up much from the flash.

I think that the 'unique' styling is why it was only produced for 2 years, some think its more like a tractor, especially the painted top Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Great work, it looks like new again. The black paint in the engraved markings on the top is very neatly done.

Looks incredibly cool, like sci-fi movies of the 50s somehow.

The black paint is mostly from a permanent marker with a very fine tip, I started using paint on the curved arrow, then decided to be sensible .As long as you're careful and go over the engraving twice it looks fine. Once again thanks for the kind comments Very Happy
