I have been on something of a Fujita roll lately. I think all these below are lenses made by Fujita, in the 1950's -
(EDIT - The two large 135/2.8 in the back turn out to be very early Komuras - see Nordentro's later post
http://forum.mflenses.com/komura-koki-tokyo-135mm-f2-8-t33340,highlight,%2Bkomura.html )
Back row, L-R
Soligor 4/150 for Fujita/Kalimar/Soligor 6x6 SLR - the companion lens in this set (which I don't have) is the Fujita 52mm retrofocus, the first retrofocus MF lens in 1957. This 150 is probably from the early 1960's, when Allied Impex (Soligor) took over selling the Kalimar 66. I have seen the 150 in Fujita and Kalimar brand also.
Peerotar 2.8/135 - Peerotar was a brand used by Peers Cameras, a US store chain. An identical lens was sold as a Spectra Coligon, which Seymours Exakta listed in 1955-56, so this lens is quite an early Japanese third party lens.
Soligor 2.8/135 - Identical construction and parts to the Peerotar, so this turns out to also be a Fujita.
Front row, L-R
Soligor 3.5/35 Retrofocus - An odd-looking lens, yes ? I'm not sure how old this is. It certainly looks like a very early design. Maybe this is the first Japanese 35mm retrofocus ?
Fujita 2.5/35 Retrofocus - This one is not only actually branded as a Fujita, but its well documented. Its version sold by Sears (Tower brand) in Asahiflex mount may have been the first Japanese 35mm SLR retrofocus lens on the market.
Peerotar 3.5/135 - date ? Probably any time between 1956-1962. I may have seen this as a Spectra Coligon also.
Other Fujitas I know of, have or suspect -
- Another, later version 3.5/35 often found as a Terragon or Gamma Terragon. Also seen as a Tower. I don't have this.
- 4.5/135 miniature telephoto. I actually have one, in Peerotar brand, but its finish is all black and doesn't look impressive in the "family picture". They were also made in the much nicer chrome and silver.
- 4.5/200 in Spectra Coligon brand, I believe mentioned in Seymours catalog.
Who knows what rare items may be out there. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work.

Just got a very similar looking lens to the Soligor 2.8/135 in the back row of your photo.
It's a Juplen 2.8/135 and cost me €3.97 / $5.99 - I have no idea what mount it is, but it looks really cool
Apologies for the image-quality, but I am currently camera-less due to a spot of damage... _________________

It certainly looks like a combination of my 2.8 and 3.5, I think you have a Fujita also.
I would think its most likely an Exakta or M42 (50/50 probability from what I have seen).
I will be on the lookout for Juplen in my searches. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

The 2.5/35 is not a great lens I think, it has noticable distortion even on crop format and is not terribly sharp wide open. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |
