Excellent results! My faves are 1 and 3, but all are great shots. I really
like Ilford XP2, need to try another roll. Here's a pic of my cat with
XP2, Exakta 500 camera:

2.8/50 Tessar with short extension tube, Epson 4490 scan which doesn't
compare to your lab's scans

I like this film better than Kodak's BW400CN.

Hope to see more of your work, congrats!

and nice capture... I like to shot cats... but I wasn't suceed with film yet ...only with digital... and also I didnn't try Kodak ...or Fuji C-41 bw film...
I tried XP2 and liked it so much (read about good refs) so I use it.

nice shots all. i like the tonal range of the ilford; almost stark.

Yes, nice indeed.

I just think that in the first shot the contrast is a bit too low and in the second one a tad too high. 3 and 5 are fine.

Seems like an excellent contrast for being a chromogenic film !
(i.e. a colour film without colours)
Did you adjust contrast in PP ?

My tentatives with chromogenic film (about 15 years ago) were always a letdown. Sleepy negatives, bland contrast.
Maybe they have changed the film formula in the meantime?

I love the last two images. Seem perfect to my taste. The benches make a perfect motif and I love contrasty portraits in B&W.

Nice series. I quite like the high contrast of #2. Very crisp!

No PP. Only! conv. to grayscale from XP2 sepia tone which sometimes look like greenish or blueish after scanning. I suppose that Takumar makes own part. Maybe exposition but I don't want to overrate self. Yes I love benches. Many times I catch up myself when I shoot them. Good static objects.
Portraiture: was an experiment. I made some other pics.

...and about this... so I'm not expert but one third from roll looks uncontrasty because of some freese issues probably. Negative look bit darker than other part. I walk with camera many hours in not very cosy surroundings. Instance:

same Tak 50 @5.6

Really like the first two shots in the second batch. The last one is too low
in contrast, almost looks like flare.

Thanks...
...yes, the last one was example of frozen film what I suspect. How I signify above first third of film looks like that. Unpleasant. Somebody have opinions?
