Hi all,

I just can"t stop buying more lenses... Embarassed so here are the next ones I'm waiting for :

- Tokina RMC 24/2.8 in C/Y mount (I didn't have yet any 24mm)
- Mamiya Sekor 55/1.4 M42 (I believe it's a Tokina one based on many photo lenses comparisons I did, and I want one to compare to my SMC Tak 50/1.4 wich I don't like that much to use)
- Isco-Göttingen ISCORAMA complete in M42 mount (because I'm crazy about odd lenses Embarassed )

The CZ Tessar 45/2.8 T* C/Y I've bought in november is back to France after a trip and return from Belgium... Evil or Very Mad

Some words about previously bought lenses I've already received :

- Tamron SP 90/2.5 macro adaptall2 : what a lens... great felling (very nice rubber focus grip) and top build quality, seems a very nice performer with great bokeh and color rendition (not to speak about sharpness) !

- Tamron SP 17/3.5 adaptall2 : not the best performer full open but once closed, it's a real pleasure to use. Build quality is also very nice - I have the first version full metal with build in filters.

- Panagor macro 90/2.8 : Kiron made or not, my brother has done some very great studio portraits with it on his K10D: it's very sharp !! We were lucky to have it for 22 € in PK mount.

- Tamron 300/5.6 adaptall : this lens is lightest that my 5D without the grip Shocked So it's fun to use, and the focus ring is a joy. Well, not a good performer on first tests basis, so I think I will not keep it (bought for the M42 adapter).

Flor, you are HOOKED into the drug of adding to the collection!

I have already used my Mamiya-Sekor 55/1.4 and I can tell you that I am more than pleased with the lens. And I am not just "saying this because I own it". I am NOT biased when I say it is truly a great lens. Sharpness wide open is quite nice, and by f:2.8 it is incredible.

Thanks all for yor support Laughing

Actually I know two version of the Mamiya Sekor 55/1.4 :

http://m42.artlimited.net/lens_detail.php?lid=384 (the one I'mw waiting)
http://m42.artlimited.net/lens_detail.php?lid=364

The first is very similar to other supposed Tomioka 55/1.4, as the small screws on the barel are at the same place etc... http://m42.artlimited.net/lens_detail.php?lid=399 ; http://m42.artlimited.net/lens_detail.php?lid=390 and so on.

Another incoming stuff :

Yashica FX-3 Quartz with 50/1.7 ML; 135/2.8 DSB & 28/2.8 DSB lenses.

I know DSB lenses are single coated and probably not worth the value but I 've bouht it for the 50 and the C/Y mount body Wink

I don't know the lenses but the FX3 was a decent camera.

That's a good price.

Perhaps lenses are also good. I had an 50mm f1.9 single coated in M42 mount it was good performer.

I once have published some shots of my daughter here, taken with the ML 1.7/50, but I can't find this thread anymore.

Anyway, it's a nice lens. I guess you will like it.

My next target is CZ Planar / Pancolar (same optical design, right ?) and then resell the 50mm I don't want to keep.

It's here :

Lenses are in perfect conditions, letherette of the camera body is gone (as on most Yashica & Contax bodies of this era) but it is fully working (batteries are not gone).

All of the lot was bough in 1983 as I have also the warranty cards Wink

I've already done some tests with the 50/1.7 ML. It's a bit foggy full open (but still sharp) : http://flor27.free.fr/forums/yashica_ml_50_1.7/ (8MBytes pictures)

The coating of both DSB lenses (28mm & 135mm) has purple and blue reflections from the rear, and the ML (50mm) ahs also green.

It looks like the FX-3 would be a good candidate for a new leather covering?
