Hi Flor
I think you will like the Zuiko 28 f2. The price you paid is not to high if it is in nice shape. Some time back I posted some close focus samples from this lens. Take a look for them. It is not the Hollywood but a nice #2 in my opinion.

Thanks Andy. That price contains an Olympus OM 4-Ti body, not in greaat shape but that should works Ok... I'm still waiting for the vendor to send it !

Some more news : the Tamron SP 70~150 f;:2.8 soft focus will stay a dream lens for me; the pic of the lens the vendor gave me shown a Tamron 70~150 f:2.5 zoom, fortunately I've not bought it Laughing

I also got a nice Tamy: SP 70~210 f:3.5. First tests show some dream effect wide open at close focus yet very sharp !

Also to come next is another dream lens : a Minolta Rokkor 58/1.2. I guess it will match lovely the EOS 5D once hacked !

My lenses bag is full for now. Oh, not really: I still missing a fast yet cheap 35mm lens... some more months to crawl the web so Wink

Cheers

Florent

MC Rokkor 58/1.2 and Zuiko 28/2.0 arrived yesterday, both in nice states and fully functional.

Now I have to convert the Rokkor to EOS mount and go in a nightclub to see how he can compete with the Mamiya 55/1.4.

I will post wide open shot of the Zuiko as soon my ISP ftp server is back to life... but I can say now that it's soft and suffer of coma and CA at f:2.0, but all are gone at f:2.8.

So more to come soon !

Yesterday at a flea market I got a Pentacon 4/200 preset in good condition.

And a Yashica ML 50/1.7 unused, comlete with box, stirofoam & doc (a small poster with all ML lenses displayed with caracterstics). Price on the sticker was 550 Frs (~ 83€) back then (90's ?).

Well, I'm near the end of my quest for new lenses !! (*)

Next to come is a Minolta MD 35mm f:1.8... Yes, it's not sure yet it can be modified to fit the EOS 5D as the Rokkor 58/1.2, but you can't know before having a try Wink

Cheers

(*) and I've already sold some, sign of lenses addiction healing :-]

Flor 27: I have the rolleinar 55 mm 1,4 made by mamiya to rollei (rolleiflex 35 series). I saw some barrel distortion at the borders. Did you see this in your tomioka mamiya sekor 55 mm 1,4? Are they the same design? Regards, Juan

Hello Ruan,

I've just no idea Sad
I know that M42's Mamiya Sekor 55/1.4 lenses are related to Tomioka, and they have gold or red coating.

Some selfsih news as usual on this thread :

This week I've got a Pentacon six TL camera, last model, with a Biometar 80/2.8 "star war" and a Flektogon 50/4 "leather" both non MC version.

The vendor wrote on the ad that there were some film transport problem.

I've tested it using the charging, rewinding and testing methods provided on pentaconsix.com website, also tested speeds with a selfmade protocol : all went right ! As I have for long date a CZJ Sonnar 180/2.8 "star war", I guess I have a very nice setup to start medium photography learning Very Happy

This week-end there is a big photographic fair (with too high prices indeed) so I will burn my first Tmax 120 film roll there Wink

Cheers
